Romanesco 800–1550

Credits

This website has been entirely conceived, set up and put online by Gianluca Valenti, postdoctoral researcher in Italian philology and linguistics. The database is part of the project «Romanesco 800–1550», carried out from 2019 at the University of Liège. The official launch will take place on September 9, 2019, during the conference Il romanesco tra ieri e oggi.

Acknowledgments

I am deeply grateful to Bettina Berendt (KULeuven) for her passionate teaching and for her constant help. She guided me for a year into the deep forest of information systems.

Paola Moreno (ULiège) has supported and encouraged me in any possible way for six years now. As head of the Italian Service — among other things — she made it possible to host this website on the servers of the University of Liège.

Bruno Vandermeulen (KULeuven) helped me with OCR scanning and explained, with patience, the functioning of this technique.

I am also thankful to Paolo D'Achille and Claudio Giovanardi (Roma Tre) for allowing me to put the data of their book «La letteratura volgare e i dialetti di Roma e del Lazio» online.
